I would feel safer on a road where the other vehicles are driving themselves since people are driving worse and worse every year.  They are already watching videos, texting, catching up on work as they "drive", so how can a machine possibly be worse?

We are *supposed to* stop far enough back that we can see the back tires of the vehicle in front of us.  That way, if we have to get out of the way we still have enough room to turn even if the guy behind is too close.
