What a bunch of bull. You'll find a fairly flat inflation rate thru the early 2000's if you put this info on a graph, followed by a steep incline from there forth. In the meantime you're lucky if you've increased your pay 25% in the last decade, while everything else has doubled.
How you can average it since the 1980'...more
Whats being left behind is the middle class. Between rising food, energy, and medical expenses I can't afford to put anything into a 401k and wouldn't trust the "wall street casino" if I did.
Most of the spending increases I am seeing are due to the concerns of a weakening dollar along with increased taxes coming down...more
I hate the switching-messes with my sleep alot and I'll feel like crap for 3-4 weeks after "springing fwd", wish it would stay on daylight savings time and be done with it.

But at the grocery store and the post office, YES. $4 a gallon for milk, $7/lb for meat, $2.79 for head of lettuce is definately hurting the pocket book. I pretty much gave up on ebay because shipping is just too expensive.
Low and behold, the results of outsourcing emerge.
Corruption on the part of both parties is to blame. Think about it for a minute. Countries trade worldwide and their currencies fluxuate as a result. Trade imbalances with China should weaken our dollar and strengthen their yuan, to the point where eventually things s...more
The Li-ion battery is very picky and sensative to heat and overcharging, it cannot be trickle charge maintained or subject to extreme temperatures. Miss the right settings on the charge circuitry/programming, and you have a fire.
V-day dinner at a restaurant is a joke. Noisy, crowded, slow service, and pricey as well for a plate of good food but that still leaves you hungry going out the door.
We now do ours at home, a couple ribeyes, couple pounds of shrimp, couple lobster tails and a bottle of wine makes for a great feast done just the way w...more
