New Yorkers voted for high taxes so you have nothing to complain about. If you don't like it then change out your State politicians your Senators and Congressman. I lived in NC for many years and hated leaving it because of the jobs. The  Dems controlled half the State government and the Governorship while having some of the highest taxes and unemployment. They did absolutely nothing to attract jobs, as well as the crime rate. The Dems ran it into the ground.

The Republicans offered to remove tax breaks back in Jan to raise revenue instead  tax increases and the p-r-e-z wanted direct tax increases.
