Before you start accusing read your history books! Bill Clinton was and is the lynch pin for the financial collapse and continued malaise. It was his administration that pushed for the repeal of the Glass Stegel Act. It was his administration that had it written into law there could be no oversight and regulation of d...more
Seems, if memory serves right, the crash following the massive 98 run up was devastating. You can't artificially manipulate markets for political gain, as is currently being done, and think this crash won't be even worse. It took how many years for the NASDQ to come back from that crash. this could be even worse.

There is a great difference structurally speaking. Recessions generally follow periods of growth pegged to high inflation, something we have had hidden by th...more
The manipulation taking place currently in both the accounting side and the market side is unparallelled in history. A financial institution makes money because the quality of the company is downgraded, who is kidding who? These institutions are in such bad shape they will not survive as is. As for the Dow and S&P, the...more
it is called PPT, and has been abused by this administration to level never before seen. W used it to hold the market between 7000-8000. This administration has used it to move markets to almost 13000. All for political purpose. ( to create large equity positions for union pension funds and float bank balance sheets). ...more
