I use a pinch of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) on canker sores.  It stings less than salt and dries out the sore area somewhat. As others have said, while you may be able to place a lost tooth, you should still visit a dentist right away.

as for my "must have" idea: the Pioneer nav system upgrade is pretty close (advanced media, nav system, backup camera, live data) to complete.
