Good businesses learn to roll with the changes and adapt.  Bad ones abuse their employees and blame others (and go out of business).

So go back and see what they would be, particularly if you make a lot of money.

The payroll and $250K+ tax increases didn't kick in until the economy had already contracted.  As for Sandy spending, well, that wasn't approved by Congress until late January either.  "Lazy, arrogant, and cluless" as you put it is Obama bashing without getting your timeline right.
