OOOoooohh!   Some of these price comparisons are only double normal inflation with no mention of frozen wage range for all wage earners.  Adjust these inflation numbers to double or triple and you are closer to REALISTIC.  Must be a right winger.

The problem is, the dollar is now worth 18 cents.  You do the math.  We are 'tied' to the world economy and threw out the gold standard in 1970 along with shipping manufacturing off shore creating a house of cards.
