Literally, the dumbest thing I've ever read. Well, Jerry Davis, you might have been able to pay your way through school by working because A) the tuition was actually affordable and B) Jobs for college students were plentiful, but that is not the way of the world today.

For ther retired, that may work well. However, the up and coming generation does not expect SSI to be available when we retire, so we need to take advantage of every trick in the book to make sure our savings grows in an advantageous, but sound way.
0% = They actually caused you disservice and made your experience worse.
1-5% = They did the job, but a tip in this range is generally an insult or spiteful behavior
5-10% = Bad service, doing just enough to get by
10-15% = Moderate, not great service, but could have been better since they weren't busy
