Problem is, a flat tax isn't a fair tax- it hits the lower-income folks a lot harder than anyone else. You want a fair tax, make Congress do its budgets the way school districts do, and if the budget passes, your tax burden- whether you're an individual or a corporation- is the same percentage of the budget as your inc...more
Make audits of the books a yearly requirement for the tax-exempt status. Any organization that shows more than 50% of it's spending for the year on politics loses the status and may not re-apply. End of story.

It isn't a good point at all. Your rights and freedoms end where they begin infringing on those of others. The right to freedom of religion implicitly includes the right to freedom FROM religion, if anyone so chooses. An activity supported by tax dollars is no place for shoving a sermon down someone's throat.
