If you don't know anything about the person you are interviewing maybe you should not be doing the interview.  How did she not know this about his late wife? Saying she made a blunder is an understatement!!!!  Do research on the people you are interviewing.  Way to keep composure and grace Mr. Short!!

Why was it moved to that time slot anyway???  That was not a bright move.  As bigczeck stated in his/her psot, "who watches TV on Friday at 9pm."  All of us who work are out at a bar/restaurant or other venue winding down from the week. Give it a better time slot on a different day.
