Poor guy. I know what it's like to not be able to sleep. You really feel like crap in the morning. The more you focus on trying to sleep, the harder it is to sleep! It sounds to me like his son found the solution. Perhaps he should do as his son did. No more sleepless nights, guaranteed! No risk of addiction, either!
