Isn't it enough that we have a Congress which is supposed to pass laws but is not able to even balance the budget, and a President who ignores Congress and passes his own laws? I am sure all these towns are great. They sound very interesting. My problem with such a list is the vast number of towns that fall between zero and the top. Come on! 5,000 to 150,000? That has to be close to 75% of all the cities in the US! How about a real expose' of the best. Break out all those towns in that number...more

Oops, I went back and reread. It is based on per capita Gross Domestic Product not income. That is why a city in connecticut with barely 100,000 population can be on the list.
