With the high cost of purchasing the RV (20'-up) & with park rates getting higher every year the camping vacation is not the value it was a decade ago.
Was a good plan a decade ago when RV parks charged less than $25/day but during my stay at the KOA last weekend rates had sky-rocked to $65/day with the next increase already planned in the near future. Sure...You can probably get a cheaper rate by the month but still not the sweet deal it use to be.

No...The American dream is to make a dollar and be able to keep at least .50c of it for yourself. When you are a debt slave to the Banking/Mortgage/Auto cartels you work for them and barely have enough left to eat while they purchase beach homes & Aircraft.

Its a shame but we have nurtured economics designed to lure young people and Americans in general into bad debt situations. Vehicles priced so high they have to "rent" them out but lets not call it that because it sounds so dirty...how about "leasing" instead? Then we have starter homes that are more than 3x avg income...more
I remember back when Datsun stormed into America with those 210's 310's & small pickups that actually got GREAT MPG when gas was $1.25/gallon on a bad day. Fast forward to the present...Poor gas mileage across the board (gas $3+ per gallon) with everything but the LEAF and a pickup that has not been redesigned since 20...more
