Since the rich will be means tested out of medicare, obamacare, and every other form of government run medicine (although they will be expected to foot the bill), they don't need a death panel, they can make the decision on their own and fund it themselves.  On the other hand, politicians would likely exempt themselves...more

A step toward taxing health benefits?

Oh, and before you challenge me and tell me that it only applies to people who make over $450,000 read a little history.  In 1913 the tax rate was 1% on the first $20,000 ($457,000 in today's dollars), by 1917 it was 1% on the first $2000 ($35,000 in today's dollars and the marginal rate at $20,000 was 12%).  Once they...more

If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this… The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing The fifth would pay $1 The sixth would pay $3 The seventh would pay $7 The eighth would pay $12 Th...more

Romney's budget plan just doesn't add up

Instead of complaining that Romney isn't releasing enough info, these "journalists" should commend Romney for a Pelosi-like maneuver:  "You have to elect me to find out what is in my plan."

Rich baby boomers cut kids off

Not providing an inheritance is a premise of communism.  If you raise your children responsibly, they will act responsibly with that money, investing it in the future success of your family (i.e. through education, property, investments, etc.).  This will allow your family to have a stable future and for them to pass e...more

Washington vs. the middle class

Yes, let's not increase productivity and encourage the use of resources to more beneficial endeavors in society.  If we got rid of the wheel we could hire people to carry products from point A to point B.  If we got rid of electricity, we could hire more candle makers...... Oh wait, then we would lose jobs in the the a...more
