I would say it's worth it to see a real tax preparer. Not these people that H&R Block or Jackson Hewitt hire on a seasonal basis, but an IRS Enrolled Agent (that's me) or a CPA. Last I checked most contracts stipulate that if you can't obtain financing the deal will be voided and all parties will essentially end up as if the contract had never been signed in the first place. What WAS their real estate agent smoking???
