I think that msn misquoted. The bullion sells for around 3 dollars over spot. 34-35 USD. The proofs which are specially struck for collectors carry a much higher premium. I don't know the exact price, but it could make the coin go for 60 USD.

Hillair Belloc warned shortly after the Great War about fiat currency in his book "Economics for Helen" He basically stated the fact that it was the governments way of swindling the populace to pay for their over burdensome expenses. Let us get back to a solid based currency.
