I had a racoon digging through my flowers on my 2nd story balcony at 2 a.m. one morning.  I'll never forget it's beedy little eyes from behind that mask.  I could swear it had a 9 mm pistol in it's waist band too!  It muttered some racially charged profanity under its breath at me and disappeared into the night.

No more free power in public places?

Sounds ridiculous on the surface.  Paying to charge my Ipod or lap top, coffee pot?  That really should be a fringe benefit seeing as pensions and health care benefits are going the way of the dinosaurs.   Its not like I'm charging an electric car...Do we really need a devie for the sockets?  If a company is that g...more

Federal workers owe billions in back tax...

I think there should be mandatory IRS audits of politicians and those with high incomes...say over $300,000.  Realizing that it is probably too much to hit everyone that would fall into this category yearly, just hit them once every 3 yrs and look at 3 yrs worth of returns.  Tax cheats should be forbidden from holding ...more

Sneaky pizza fees are here to stay

I usually order my pizza online (Dominos is my favorite).  The delivery charge is clearly disclosed during checkout before I pay...no surprise (also clearly disclosed is that this fee does not go to the driver).  If I don't want to pay the fee, I need to place the order for pick-up instead of delivery.  Convenience has...more

Will gas climb to $5 a gallon?

First let me be clear.  I do not support $5 (or higher) gas prices.  I do think an agenda driven government would support high gas prices though.  High gas prices make those pathetic electric cars and go-carts more appealing to the masses... it's all about the money.  Also I would hope high gas prices would spur a viab...more
