@pugsley : maybe they should outsource their calls (which they probably do already anyways) so you can speak to somone in India and maybe they will not have to charge you to speak to somebody.

So, if the bank calls me, for any reason, can I start charging them for the call and my time (my time means money) if I give them written notice that I will be doing so?
