you live in North Florida, what do you mean redistribute? most of Florda's  sales tax collections come from Southern Florida (miami-dade, broward and palm beach)_and redistributed to mostly rural areas in the cental and nothern parts of the state. so you (your city) are probably a recipient of resdistribution.

A easier fix would have been extending the mortgages an additional 10 years coupled with a 4% interest rate. That would have given those a much lower payment without touching the balances they owe.  It seems like responsibile people with inegrity always finish last.

I find it hard to believe that some people are pretty smart when it comes to playing the system to receive free stuff from the goverment yet play dumb in the system of personal success such as staying out of trouble, going to school and do the right thing.

here in south florida, garter snakes are downright nasty and can inflict a nasty bite.  especially those fat ones that are mean as water snakes.
