While I dont think this petition is going to bring the desired fruit of the petitioners, I do think it speaks volumes about the frustration many thousands of Texans feel about the direction the country is headed. Further, apparently there is wide spread feeling of that type (ya think?) if almost a dozen other states ha...more
This is one of two places I would like to visit before I die. The other is the Arizona memorial at Pearl Harbor. I'd like to walk the beach at Normandy with a WW2 vet and have him describe it to me. Or have some reading material on that day with me.
John, we may see this differently, but I think I'm correct that this nation has never been to war without first being provoked. And we never 'lost' a war when politicians stayed out of it and let the military do their jobs. War is an ugly business. And I agree that its a wonder that we still exist as a human race today...more

I have a saying; those who destroy their heritage will someday be consumed by the lack ...more
Of course I dont agree with this kind of blather. I do have a problem with a system where a candidate can win the most states and lose the election. It is what it is. A sad day for our country. God help us all now.
Of course I dont support nonsense like this. I do however disagree with a system where a andidate can win the most states, or the popular vote, and still lose an election. It is what it is. A sad day for our country. God help us all now....just another voice...
