Is 70 the new retirement age?

My Dad retired @ 62 then built barns (by himself with help of my 4 year old at the time) and rode motorcycles until he was 80!  I just sold my bike cause of the crazies on the rode, but I hope I can back off to single shifts in another year.  God willin'!

Because of the two major downward spirals of the economy and little to no cost of living raises and my wife retiring early and raising a grandaughter I have found myself planning on working until I'm 70.  That's another 5 years for me.  I work double shifts and have for the last 7 years.  I will go down to just one shi...more
