GE is not the only company that pays lit...

Why single out GE - or the group of large corporations?  Doesn't everyone take the maximum benefit of whatever tax deductions one can find?  When I do it, it is a legitimate tax deduction, when GE does it, it is a tax loophole - is that it?

I think we are missing the professor's point.  He is not seriously suggesting this regime as a weight-loss diet.  What he is saying is, (a) if you burn more calories than you eat, you WILL lose weight, and (b) there are ways of losing weight that will make you unhealthy.  I do not see anything wrong with his argument -...more

Perhaps I am slower on the uptake than your average reader, but could you explain what the precise problem is?  To my simple mind, the mere number of ingredients is not enough disqualification.  Do you really think a nine-grain cereal is worse than a one-grain cereal?
