I think they are both offensive.  But I'm not about to melt into a pool of tears over it.  They are just words.  If you use them, you're a lout.  But that's your problem, not mine.

I agree with Mike Smith.  I'm not easily offended by people who are easily offended.  I'm just not going to spend my life tip-toeing on egg shells for them.  Grow a pair indeed!

BS was never my cup of tea.  But I agree, the music is good, and has withstood the test of time.

The guy was an alcoholic, not a child molester or a mugger.  So the police officers and the town liked him.  Maybe he was likable, and a decent guy in his own, broken way.  Sounds kind of nice and, quite frankly, Christian to me.
