Fred - sounds like you lived in Iowa or the Dakotas - but please - don't lump in other parts of the Midwest unless you've been there - Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota are not flat and featureless - nor is the entire state of Illinois devoid of natural features. What is a 'Red' State and what is a 'Blue' State... Republican vs Democratic... MN has a Democratic Governor and a Republican Legislature - although historically, I think we're been predominately a Democratic leaning state.. bleeding hearts (and wallets) if you will.
