Exactly right VSDB. When you hand someone a check, you are giving them a document with your name, address, phone number, checking account number and bank routing number. I'll stick with debit cards and electronic bill pay.

I track my expenses and bills using an Excel spreadsheet. I don't need to physically see a handful of cash to know what I have spent and what I have left.

That only works for the crook if the debit card has an RFID chip. Mine doesn't.
