I guess I've misunderstood what has been going on since 2008. I thought greedy bankers (and Republican deregulation) "wrecked" the economy, and Washington's problem was that it was unable to agree on how to fix the resulting mess. Was it Humpty Dumpty or the king's horses and king's men who "wrecked" the economy?
