I swalled one of those ornament prongs on a Santa Claus Christmas ornament when I was 2, coughed it up on the way to the emergency room! My mom was freaking out, said I was crying like crazy when she tried to feed me, then I turned blue or something. I was always putting things in my mouth then!

I would have slapped that kid's hand hard, tell him to NEVER EVER do that again! Tell him he could have killed both of us, and take away something that is his favorite thing for a week. A hard lesson but a kid has to learn somehow not to do some things!
