Lost your car key? That'll be $400

Harder to steal, but not impossible. While the typical car thief will move on to easier pickings, someone who's determined enough to use electronics will be harder to deter. I'm sorry for your losses.

5 things dumber than a lottery ticket

Yep, I've lived in Philadelphia (home of "Schuylkill Punch") and have relatives in Phoenix. If you really can't stand the water that comes out of the tap, a filter is much cheaper than buying by the bottle.

You missed the point, I'm afraid: I said that you SHOULD spend (within reason) on what you consider fun or rewarding. That may or may not include a lottery ticket.

Protect your wallet -- by taking a nap

I'm sorry you were in a VA hospital, and I'm impressed by your achievements. But playing "who suffered more" isn't terribly productive, especially since there are people who had it worse than both of us -- and because you know little about apartment house management and hardly anything about my personal situation. Freebies: It's all about the beverages

Thanks! Except that up here in Alaska it's 59 cents. :-(

Freebies: It's all about the beverages

Well, not every deal works for every person. I wouldn't go far out of my way for a doughnut, but if there were a Krispy Kreme on my regular work/walking route I'd certainly stop in. Thanks for reading, and for leaving a comment.

Yahoo move casts shadow over telecommuti...

Some people stray WITH supervision -- they look busy when the boss is around, and slack the rest of the time. I think if you produce good work from home you should be allowed to work there, at least some of the time. Then again, I'm not a CEO. Thanks for reading, and for leaving a comment.
