Yep, I've lived in Philadelphia (home of "Schuylkill Punch") and have relatives in Phoenix. If you really can't stand the water that comes out of the tap, a filter is much cheaper than buying by the bottle.
You missed the point, I'm afraid: I said that you SHOULD spend (within reason) on what you consider fun or rewarding. That may or may not include a lottery ticket.
Um....that was kind of my point: That you should budget for the treats YOU want and spend accordingly. One man's coffee is another man's Lotto ticket.

Well, not every deal works for every person. I wouldn't go far out of my way for a doughnut, but if there were a Krispy Kreme on my regular work/walking route I'd certainly stop in.

Some people stray WITH supervision -- they look busy when the boss is around, and slack the rest of the time.
I think if you produce good work from home you should be allowed to work there, at least some of the time. Then again, I'm not a CEO.
