That's just a silly argument. You have to offer green card employees 100% of the average wage for the job they're doing in the place where they're working. Besides, these jobs are for specialist occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree - most of them pay 5x the minimum wage.
ICanEfile.org wasn't able to get funding to update its software for this year, so they did a deal with TaxACT allowing free federal filing for *all* filers - including those above $57,000 AGI. Good option for those in states like Texas without federal filing.
Actually, insurance is typically only worth it if you can't cover the replacement costs. After all, the people selling it have to make money somehow. In all likelihood, they didn't have enough in stocks to begin with. If they had had a reasonable balance, there's no way they would have been getting just 1% over the last year.
