Tank was obviously wrong, and yes, I would have stepped up to stop the bullying. I used to. I lived not far north of Mt St Helens, and watched it erupt. I knew I was outside the danger zone, though, so considered it interesting, but not dangerous to me. I wouldn't live on the slopes of an active one, though.
