see if your landlord will negotiate. provide a security deposit for the damages the pet will cause. pay a surcharge on top of your rent (maybe 10-20/month). most landlords will agree for money.

add to the list: more than 5 pairs of shoes (slippers, sneakers, 2 pairs dress, 1 pair casual). more than 2 purses. Starbucks coffee. cable tv. cell phones that have internet. reality tv (that probably doesn't count but i'd sure be happy if it disappeared) we are a pampered and spoiled society.
