@scbn - if you spend like you're on a luxury vacation, then yes.. anywhere is going to be more expensive. I lived in Hawaii for a year... it's approximately the same as living in Calif and if you know how to shop and spend wisely, rather than staying at high-end resorts, then it's pretty cheap overall.
