JCPenney caters too much to the younger generation when it comes to clothes. They are not the only ones with buying power. Middle aged and seniors have money to spend also, but we cannot find any suitable clothing for our age group.
It's all about marketing folks. Would you rather pay a higher price and be able to use a coupon or pay a everyday lower price? I'll take the lower price any day.
If you get your coupons back, you will see a rise in the price of the merchandise. That's the way marketing works in retail. The higher price offsets giving you a coupon. Wake up.
For all those who want coupons to come back to JC Penney, think about this. When coupons were around, prices were always higher. Do the math. An item that was priced at $80.00 with a sale price of $50.00, then a $10.00 coupon- you paid $40.00. Now with the fair and square pricing in place that same item would be $40.00...more
