Listen.  Politics is politics.  People's lives are people's lives.  I too think it is disgusting and in poor taste to emphasize the one, at the cost of the other.   Many currently are questioning the FBI and CIA's potential lack of due diligence on the terrorist warnings we had on the Boston Bombing brothers...could ...more

I wonder how many people writing in, anti college, actually went to college.  College was much more of a life lesson than a guarantee of a certain income bracket.  I'd say the nay Sayers never went to school.

Did Mitt Romney just blow the election?

Bottom line is this folks....   (1) Most social programs were created for noble, kind-hearted reasons...good reasons.  Nobody wants the down-trodden or elderly rotting in the streets.  So again, I'd dare say that all social programs have good intentions at their core.   (2) The problem?  Like with most things i...more

Did Mitt Romney just blow the election?

So your "research" comes from a 2011 article, where you paraphrased your opening line about "other taxes".  This per your "research"....   "The large percentage of people not paying income tax is often blamed on tax breaks that zero out many households’ income tax bills and can even result in net payments from the ...more

Did Mitt Romney just blow the election?

Did Mitt Romney just blow the election?

Cheffyxtc,   I'd love to say this to your face...if you pay alot of taxes, then you are not the 47% Mitt was referring to.  Re-read the transcript, or re-watch the video if pictures are easier for you.   The 47% reference was the 47% of Americans who DO NOT pay taxes.

Did Mitt Romney just blow the election?

I have watched the video several times, and what I find to be most distorted in the media and liberal protrayal of it, is his CONTEXT.  While he indeed said those words, the context of those words was "campaign strategy".  From a strategic standpoint, he knows that a certain percentage of voters simply won't vote for h...more
