So I did a little search on the elephant and found that the one pictured was in Thailand. It was a baby elephant that got trapped. It took rescue workers three hours to free the elephant who was not hurt.

There are plenty of venues that have curfews in place. However, instead of cutting power to the stage if the show runs a few minutes long they just fine the act. Cutting the power is far more likely to cause fans who may have had a bit too much to drink to take their anger out on others. Especially venue personnel.
