As a teen who has lived his whole life in NC, I have to say, this is one of the most idiotic things with which I've had the misfortune of being associated. And this is keeping in mind that our governor until this year was Bev Perdue.
Common Core is NC's standards for classes. The problem is that, not only are they easy as sh*t, but they're taught at STANDARD level. I'm dual enrolled in college and honors classes, so my classmates and I can breeze through this.
Common Core sucks. I finished the fifty-question US History MSL in 13 minutes, and I think every student was finished by the half-time mark. I could have finished it if I only attended a third of the classes: anyone could if they attended a third of the classes.
LeScourge, I admit that a solution must be made, but I cannot support a solution that requires more money to be spent by the Feds.
