Spanking is NOT beating and there are times when it's warranted. My generation and long before were spanked and we're much MORE respectful and obey the laws than those raised after the "Dr. Spock" generation...bye the way, he's admitted he was WRONG.
I don't have children and found it insightful and marvelously funny! It also serves to give me a bit more respect for what parents have had to put up with and next time I'm in a public place rather than be annoyed by a crying child this new view of parenthood and children will make me smile instead.
