When jeans wore out,  a friend cut around the pocket, turned the attached seat fabric under and stitched it in place. Then she attached a strip of the double-stitched outside seam as a shoulder strap, and her kids had a little bag for gathering treasures as they played outside. Totally cute!

I don't oppose HOAs in principle; however, because of the draconian actions taken by some boards I would heartily support enacting laws that limit the scope of HOAs' power and control.

How about some affordable models that AREN'T variations on hatchbacks and station wagons?  I won't even consider a car that doesn't provide "out of sight" storage.

Over the years, I've met many people who refused to donate to MDA because they resented that their donations to "Jerry's KIDS" would also be used to pay Jerry's SALARY for appearing.  I wonder how much more money would have been available to support the cause if Jerry Lewis had truly acted as a humanitarian by providin...more
