a rich person who earns over a million a year in salary may pay more tax but the $100,000 he pays hardly affects his ability to feed his family.  the poor slob making $25,000 only pays out $5,000 but it greatly affects his ability to put food on the table.

the problem isn't food stamps per se the problem is that they don't run the program well.  Those who receive assistance should be made to work or go to school instead they let them sit on their behinds.  They need to provide a way out-money for school, daycare for working parents instead of welfare to the baby mamas ou...more

rossr--our plight as you put it is due to the simple fact that he who has the most gold makes the rules--and the rules are made in such a way as to discourage those with less gold from getting more gold--why? because if everyone has gold the tables are even and the rich have no one to clean their toilets, sit their kid...more

oh and Florida has the added bonus of immigrant drivers--aka drivers who don't or can't read, don't care, don't have insurance, could care less about the rules of the road, think anything goes, love to drink and drive and face little if any punishment if they are stopped by law enforcement.

a lot of the states have NO fault insurance which basically means the good drivers pay for THOSE WITH A LOT OF FAULT!

Wonderful to see someone so deserving get ahead.  Usually the shows are based on body comp or sex factor and not talent.  I loved the others on the show too but it's nice to see someone older still realize their dream

Safer drivers don't always pay less

The good drivers always end up paying more to cover the costs of the lousy drivers.  Even after years of a clean driving record and no accidents mine continues to climb due to numerous claims against my insurer by BAD drivers.
