I have a family member who is lucky to be alive right now. Not even 2 weeks ago a lady crashed her car into his truck while he was buckling his son into his car seat. The rear tire axle was broken off and he was pinned between the two vehicles. He has a long road to recovery compounded by his other severe health issues...more
mine slipped into the bathtub while babysitting one night. I was giving the little girl a bath and my pocket wasn't zipped fully like I thought. I put it in the fridge and never had any issues. The water damage mark never even showed it was submersed in water!
oh yes, because as a college graduate who is now working retail for 8 bucks an hour I will definitely be able to afford the gas to even get to work if it goes up to $5 a gallon. And they say bicycling will give me a lower accident rate?! Have they seen the roads around my house? The busy, narrow, winding roads with bli...more
oh boy, here we go again. As parents it is your job to make sure your child is safe and healthy, and that means sometimes they aren't always happy! Do your job as a parent. If running around with scissors or a knife in their hands would make your child happy, would you let them do it? NO (I sure hope not)! Geesh, doesn...more
Oh the poor insurance companies (please note sarcasm). Maybe I would have some sympathy if they stopped gouging me for "living in a big high risk city". I'm 45 miles outside of the city and pretty much never drive to it! I drive through it maybe once or twice a year for a concert and other than that I take the train in...more
My graduation gift when I finished high school was a Dell Laptop and the extended 4 year warranty was purchased. That was one of the best choices ever! As a student I took my laptop almost everywhere and even when I was careful accidents happened, plus the normal wear-and-tear of a well used product, lead to great use ...more
I don't have a problem with people who make $250,000 a year. I grew up comfortably in a family that made much less. I just completed my bachelors degree and I am looking into master programs. I also acknowledge that some areas are much more expensive then others and have witnessed this first hand as my family has moved...more
Come on- $5,000 for a housekeeper because there isn't time to clean? BS! They don't WANT to MAKE TIME to clean. That is so laughable. It's funny how both my parents work and we have never had a housekeeper or lawn service. We don't even take our cars to repair shops or oil change places- my dad does it all. How about t...more
I know I wasn't a perfect roommate, but I was the only one who EVER cleaned. The kitchen floors and counters would be a disgusting mess I would literally have to scrub on my hands and knees. I eventually found out it was just easier on myself to keep up with the cleaning and scrub the place down every other week or so ...more
