Priorities aren't assigned according to the number of affected people. Poring more money into adequately funded research is asking for waste and abuse. It won't change advancements in the research significantly.

Surely the researchers didn't tell either group to go out an have unprotected sex. This research sounds like it's aimed at people who are suicidal.

We're in an age of extremes. I'm not impressed, depressed, astonished, or appalled. If it doesn't affect my livelihood, health, or rights, then go for it. Eat your toes, tattoo your face, implant horns on your head, or whatever, but don't ask for financial assistance from tax dollars for your extreme behavior.

Ridiculous, but typical for most religious decisions whether they are Muslim or Christian. It's hypocritical and illogical to base one's worth on virginity. Did the guy want a virgin or a women to love? He wanted a body part not a human being.

Why not cast Mark Chapman as John Lennon?. I don't hold anything against Jane Fonda, but she should butt out of this role.   Does anyone think Sarah Palin would be cast as Gloria Steinem? It's a slap in the face and a blatant political statement for Jane Fonda to play Nancy Reagan.

I agree with you. I have no use for religions, but those that do shouldn't be slandered. This guy is talking to those with his beliefs. He's not in-your-face like so many other religious icons of many different faiths. Live and let live.
