The fiscal cliff and you

"Going over the cliff" really means going back to Clinton's rates. If we are going to raise taxes on anyone right now - that is the best outcome - since it will put about 5% of the population BACK on the tax rolls, after Bush made a "devil's bargain" to remove them. In the mid 1980's - we hit a low of 14.8% percent of ...more

For decades, whenever a Sears employee was called up for National Guard duty  - the company would supplement their guard pay - bac...more

Former Fannie Mae chief: Don't blame hom...

The only comments Franklin Raines should be making about the housing crisis are those from a prison cell where he should spend the rest of his life. Our media made villains out of people like Ken Lay at Enron, and  Bernie Madoff - and others. Franklin Raines and his mentor and predecessor Jim Johnson did far more damag...more

If Mitt Romney takes his cues on race from anyone he has known in his life  - it would be from his father, a former Michigan Governor.  George Romney not only represented EVERYONE while in office - he literally marched with black civil rights leaders in Detroit - he had earlier during WWII assisted black Detroit factor...more
