Yes, Anthony, and, that is exactly what WWII did, when that Largest of Largest Socialized Spending Programs ran it's course.  WWII demanded and produced goods, services and jobs.  WWII was not a socialized relief program.  It was, though, the largest socialized spending program in history.  John M. As has been said by Presidents, both Republican and Democratic, Social Security has nothing to do with the deficit.  Increasing the Social Security tax to 7.5% would go along way to addressing any funding issues. Increasing or removing the income "cap" would be another really good idea.  I do believe 7.5% was what I pa...more

Well, if that doesn't bring a comment.  First, why worry?  This administration wouldn't enforce the law with HSBC bank after that bank was convicted of trafficking money for drugs dealers and terrorists.  The Attorney General says that the Administration was told enforcing the law might bring some economic turmoil.  So...more

So long as the voting population requires that elected officials "seek" them; the voting population sits and waits for someone to "pursuade" them, money which is necessary to "seek" them will not be reduced from the political process.  No amount of legislation or reform will be effective.
