Man Slaps Kid for Talking at the Movies

@momwithboys: NO. Mom should have removed junior from the theater, not have a conversation about "not talking at the movies" while in the theater, which would be just as disruptive. Maybe if the kid wasn't allowed to see the movie, he would understand the consequences. Talking=not staying to see movie

Man Slaps Kid for Talking at the Movies

The guy is a hero. $15 for a movie, only to have fellow patrons who don't have decency and common sense to leave junior at home, turn off their cell phones, and act like civilized human beings. And if it were my child making the noise, you would have permission to slap ME, too.

Meanwhile, their master's is paid for by taxpayers (with instant salary boost, not always the case for other professions), and they get lifelong pensions and h...more

As a NYer, I wish they had rebuilt the towers just a bit taller than they were. I'm not a fan at all of WTC1, although WTC3 (the one with the diamond angled roof and is on hold) is beautiful. When finished WTC1 will look like a giant needle. I am glad, however, that they are finally doing something with the site. Maybe...more

No, it's not Obama fault, but it's not Bush's either. The intermingling of big money and politics is as old as the country, and it only got worse when they instituted an income tax. I don't have a solution, but I know that blaming one party and one party alone (kind of like the current recession) doesn't solve the prob...more
