Mom should have removed junior from the theater, not have a conversation about "not talking at the movies" while in the theater, which would be just as disruptive. Maybe if the kid wasn't allowed to see the movie, he would understand the consequences. The guy is a hero. $15 for a movie, only to have fellow patrons who don't have decency and common sense to leave junior at home, turn off their cell phones, and act like civilized human beings. And if it were my child making the noise, you would have permission to slap ME, too.

Clearly beauty is in the eye of the beholder because I don't see it.

Who cares? The second that all cars become more fuel-efficient and start getting 50+ miles per gallon, the cost of gasoline/diesel will skyrocket to $6 or $7 per gallon. Big oil and the government will get their money regardless. Then we'll be JUST like Europe, as most people here envy.
