What else is new? Speculators always drive prices up. Housing is rising too fast to justify the increases, especially with the new improved low wage ,sweatshop employment market. People just getting on their feet will still not be able to afford a house.

Really? Honda San aint what it used to be, that's for sure. I had an old 4 speed 1983 Accord that I put close to 275K on commuting.  I guess those days are over for Honda. It looks like they need a 'Total Recall' on their quality control.

Most of these places have nice weather or high density population. It always costs more to live in high demand areas. I left California almost 30 years ago when the freeways were only about 3 lanes in each direction.

That's true barny. I saw in some magazine a few years back where they picked apart a Ford Explorer, and found  components made in numerous countries. It's not so much where the car is made' as it is where it's assembled.
