I think the emphasis on shopping and spending for the holidays is ludicrous. Stores have their priorities mixed up. The restaurants were nice but way too pricey. They made ball park prices seem like a give a way. $9.50 for a pint of Budweiser is way too high for true sports fans. Good riddance to an over-priced, tourist gouging establishment.
I agree that people are tiring of piling up endless mountains of posessions. The feeling is the less you own the more free you are.
