Someone, you do realize that diesels aren't the only cars with turbos, right? If the turbo needs to be replaced, it'll need to be replaced, whatever engine type you have.
This article is wrong--you do NOT pay income tax on the SS deductions from your paycheck. For example, if you have a gross paycheck of $1000 and you have $100 withheld for Social Security/Medicare, you only pay income tax on the remaining $900.
