Really---this is the role of government. To protect people who make silly assumptions?

Sadly this is all to true. Consequences are so passe. I can understand for major medical, but idiots who pile up credit cards, drive nice cars, are abusing the system. There are far too many abusers but few distinguish between the deserving and the lazy.

People need to use the credit card as a tool--free interest short term loans. Pay it off and none of the other garbage matters.
