I am a registered Nurse and Cancer Survivor and I lost 30# during the treatments.  If I had not had some extra weight I would not have survived the treatments let alone returned to work two weeks after they were completed.  That is the advantage of some extra weight.

I expect nothing so anything will be a pleasant surprise in an awful situation.

I have always worked while raising three children. Not always full time when they were little. There are things at home that are not done because there isn't,t time I have never had time to do much for myself ie gyms ect. I hardly take vacation I have 6 weeks banked.  I use my days after I realize I am loosing them.  Why?  there is so much work and everyone in our department is entitled to time off there is little time left for time off.   I am having major surgery next week and am hoping I can get by with just taking a week off.

I don't know that texting and social networking is the cause of the behaviors mearly a symptom of the social habits of kids that are higher risk for those behaviors.
